It is around us at all times, we even create and absorb it, but how can we use it to our own advantage? This is what this page is for. If walking along the path of the Mage, or just starting on your way, the knowledge of how to use energy is essential.

Energy, in a Mage's belief system, comes from the five elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit. Everything in the known universe is composed of these elements, or a combination thereof. Each has a light side and a dark side which can be used for whichever purpose is desired. The trick is to absorb everything in at once and to choose which element(s) and side that is needed to cast. Or to filter out what you do not want to use.

A Mage, when learned, will have no dire need to store energy, for it will already be flowing through him constantly. Stored energy will only be needed to initiate a spell or mindlink or whatnot. This is attained through practice at meditation and visualization. There is no easy way to do this. No "presto!". Energy can be attained through anything, anyone, anywhere in the Mage's current environment. If it is to be found, it is to be had.

The aforementioned stored energy can be attained at a minute's notice, as long as the proper concentration is there. When the Mage is ready, the stored energy is sent out in one clean burst, which acts as a catalyst for the energy that is running through the Mage. The energy just follows suit with the burst. This can be stopped when the Mage deems that s/he is finished, or if s/he is tired, mentally or physically. IT is imperative to stop when becoming tired or losing concentration. Always. Otherwise, some serious backfire could be suffered.
